Lost and Found

I found this poem on the back of a scrap of notebook paper — the hand-written receipt (in Amharic) for the laundry we had done in a hotel in Addis:

SimPle machiens

– They makes our job simple, easier
and fasfer
– we use them – To multiPly force
– To multiPlay sPeed
– To change direction

– The six basic simPle machines are.
